In addition to investigating the climate science debate, I would suggest that everyone familiarise themselves with the climate science itself. You can read the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports here:

http://www.ipcc-wg3.de/publications

The reports are intensely peer-reviewed documents produced by one of the largest groups of sceintists ever assembled and they represent some of the best and most reliable syntheses of information on climate change available. Its downfall might be that it's too complete and too long! So, at the VERY LEAST, I would suggest you skim through the 'Summary for Policy Makers' and any of the other sections of the 4th Assessment Report that you think might be informative to your home country or region.

Think about it: The IPCC reports are among the most influential and debated documents in scientific history. How many of you have actually read them? Smile
